Ed Mascari Piano Studio Natick, MA Recital
Our Annual Spring Student Piano Recital in Natick MA for Children and Young Adults
This recital, featuring 9 elementary and intermediate piano students was held at 2:00 pm at the Hartford Street Presbyterian Church in Natick, MA. Many friends and family members were in attendance.
Students traveled from many towns in the MA MetroWest area including Ashland, Dover, Framingham, Hudson, Marlborough, Natick, Sherborn, Wayland, and Wellesley MA.

Arden Knapp,
Zachary Knapp,
Alex Beer,
Jon Fitzgerald,
Hunter Leonard,
Skylar Schmid,
Rex Provost,
Molly Raddant,
Quentin Putnam,
Krishna Canning,
Matthew Gentry and
Alex Koure.
Performances consisted of classical, jazz and popular selections as well a duet and even a sax solo.
Among the many highlights was a performance by Nasreen Bhumgara of Bourree by Bach and Chariots of Fire by Vangelis.
Eleven year old Nasreen attends the Kennedy Middle School in Natick MA.
He also plays the clarinet and has been taking lessons at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio for the past 6 years.
Nine year old Arden Knapp, in a 60s mood, performed Maria by Richard Rodgers and Leaving on a Jet Plane by John Denver.
Arden is in 4th grade attending Claypit Hill Elementary School in Wayland.
He also plays the cello and has been taking lessons at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio for the past 3 years.
The audience enjoyed performances by other students, including 12 year old Jon Fitzgerald, a 6th grade at the Amigos School in Cambridge, MA.
Also, 13 year old Wayland Middle School student Hunter Leonard, who also plays the trumpet and has been a student at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio for the past 3 years.
Skylar Schmid, a 13 year old Wilson Middle School Student, who also enjoys jazz and tap dancing has been taking lessons at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio for the past 6 years.
Rex Provost, a Sophomore at Wayland HS, who also plays tenor sax, has been a student at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio for 2 years.
Sixth year piano student and singer Molly Raddant has performed with the MMEA Eastern Jr. District Chorus and played the part of Elizabeth in her school production of Guys & Dolls.
Also a Sixth year piano student, Quentin Putnam doubles on trumpet with the Wilson Middle School band.
Krishna Canning, 8 years at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio, had the honor of being accepted this year as pianist for the WHS Jazz Band.
Matthew Gentry, also 8 years at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio, doubles on flute and performed the challenging Eunesco's Cantabile e presto with the Natick HS Concert Band this past year.
Alex Koure performed Solemnity by Koure and a duet with teacher Ed Mascari called Cantaloupe Island by Herbie Hancock.
Alex has been studying at the Ed Mascari Piano Studio for 4 years and studied classical piano previously with other local teachers.
Alex has just graduated from Natick High School and will be attending Bennington College in the fall.
He also plays guitar and has scored several student films.

The recital was brought to an wonderful conclusion by a duet performance by Ed Mascari with former faculty member Naoko Fukaya of the jazz standard Autumn Leaves.
